Well at least we have the unhelpful smartass here to help." Page said sarcastically as he glared at the Pegasus, then turned to back to the creature. "So got any ideas before this thing kills us?" He asked Talitha Talitha saw that Stormbreaker and the pegasus seemed to have disappeared and let out a heavy sigh. "I guess we won't be getting backup," she said as she thought of the next thing the two of them could do. Then she remembered she had a potion that might do the trick. she took it out of her robe and threw it at the beast. It immediately froze in place. She turned to Page Turner and said, "It should be frozen now. So eh, I guess we can send it back to Tartarus." She drew a sigil around it and she and Page Turner murmured an ancient chant. Then the creature was sent back to Tartarus in a flash. Their job finished, Talitha winked at Page Turner and said, "Well, might as well enjoy the festival" before wandering off to find some food at the various food stalls. Page nodded, and went to find the nearest stand with Booz before he returned to his post "Whatta helluva night." He thought

"Well then," Tinted said as she marveled at the empty space where her wings should be. "I can live without them." "I honestly was expecting a proper prison with other prisoners but whatever," she randomly thought to herself. After downing her weight in griffon scones, Talitha thought of the pegasus she'd seen before. It looked like she had been whisked away by Stormbreaker to the maximum security unit of Hope's End Prison. She could tell by the teleportation mark left on the ground by Stormbreaker. "Well, that's just like something she'd do," she mused, as she started to draw a teleportation ring of her own. "But you see, I think this pegasus might be useful to us. So I'm going to have to break her out, my friend," Talitha said as she drew the teleportation ring and added a few more characters to the mix. Within a few minutes both she and Page Turner were transported to the a desolate area in the Prison that looked like a massive desert. Page turner blinked a few times, a little confused to why he was there. Talitha winked and said, "Don't worry' it is all part of the plan." Page Turner still look confused but decided it was probably best not to question things. They entered the area of the prison Talitha was familiar with being a member of the Tartarus Creature Containment Squad. The prison was vast and only Stormbreaker knew about all of prison areas like the back of her hoof. This was a privilege afforded only to her. But Talitha did know of at least two or three areas where the more troubled prisoners were placed. And this area had the same energy as the teleportation ring left behind. When the two entered the prison area, they were immediately stopped by a high level guard. "State your business," he said impatiently. Talitha showed the guard her clearance card and said, "I am here to talk to the prisoner who was just taken to this containment cell." The guard examined the card and then gave Talitha and page Turner the clearance to enter the prison area. They walked for a quite a while until their target game into view. The two of them saw the pegasus. Except that the pegasus didn't have wings. Talitha rolled her eyes. That was also something Stormbreaker was prone to do. Talitha walked up to the wingless pegasus and smirked at her. "So do you want me to give you back your wings and help you find a way out of here? The only thing you have to do is join my unit and swear loyalty to the Night Fall Royal Court. What do you say my friend?" she stared at the pegasus, waiting for her response.

Stay here and rot with possibly no chance of escape. Or, go with them and be free. Maybe, it'll be fun being on the good side? Unless they're bad. No. Stop thinking like the filly you were ten years ago. You're a mare now, a mare who's job is to kill. But, what if I won't be able to kill anymore? Oh, the horror!STOP THINKING LIKE THE FILLY YOU WERE BEFORE MUM DIED!!
maybe I could trick them into setting me free and then escape to the far reaches of the Cystal Empire when I Get the chance?
no. Too risky. I wish I could start over. STOP IT NIGHT!! You are not a little filly anymore, and we both know that that is impossible!!
Tinted Night sighed and closed her eyes after her internal argument. "I accept your offer."

"Well, it is good to meet you Tinted. You don't have to worry about following too many rules in the Tartarus Creature Containment Squad. We just get recruited to take down the ungodly creatures, villains, and what have you of the underworld. Of course, we will give you the training, magic, and skills to do so. Ah, but first things first. We should return your wings." Talitha took out a potion and sprinkled it over Tinted's back. Her wings immediately reappeared. Tinted looked a bit impressed, but Talitha waved her claw dismissively and said. "Truth be told, Stormbreaker used an illusion spell to make it look like your wings had disappeared when in reality they had been there all along. It's one of her old tricks." About that time some alarms sounded and Stormbreaker teleported into the desert in front of Talitha and the others. "Who dares to attempt an escape from here on MY watch?" Stormbreaker scowled, but then gave a confused look when she saw Talitha and Page Turner with the prisoner. Stormbreaker raised an eyebrow and asked, "Would you mind explaining what's going on here, Talitha?" Talitha shrugged. "The prisoner agreed to be part of our team so I said we'd give her a shot. You know the kingdom's policy; if a prisoner willing joins the team, their crimes must be waved." Stormbreaker scowled and muttered, "I really hate that rule," under her breath before turning back to Talitha and saying, "Alright. I'll give that convict a shot. But if she makes one mistake, I'm sending her butt back to Hope's End. You get it?" Talitha winked. "Loud and clear, my friend." Then she said a spell and transported all four of them the festival. She failed to mention that there was still work to be done. She figured they find that out soon enough for themselves anyway.

Tinted Night said, slowing down and stopping when speaking. She closed her eyes and willed herself to stop letting the memories flow through her head. The laughing.the learning.the fun.remembering is too much.I.. I must not...T squeezed her eyes shut as she felt tears threatening to break through her wall and rain like a waterfall.

If Stormbreaker was angry before, right now she was absolutely livid. "By the gods I swear I will see someone executed before the end of the week." As she stood there seething, she realized a mistake that Page and Talitha made. While they were correct about criminals who joined the Tartarus unit had their sentences frozen/suspended temporarily, they required a warrant signed by either the princess or the captain of the unit itself. But if said criminal was already in Hope's End the warrant needed to be signed by either herself or her Vice-wardens. And since they had neither, they could be charged for treason, conspiracy and a whole lot of other crimes all of which either carried a sentence of death or life imprisonment at hard labor in Hope's End.
"Hmmm. I know they only made a minor mistake and I should just "Let it go" but I simply can't pass up on seeing the looks on their faces when I tell them that they have broken the law and have been sentenced to time in Hope's End." Stormbreaker giggled at the thought of their terrified faces. She teleported to Hope's End's garage to get her personal Lawmaster bike and began the hunt.

"She's just doing her job," she mused as the three headed toward the Night Fall Castle to have their new companion sworn in to the Creatures Containment Squad by Princess Crescent. However, the three didn't get too far before Stormbreaker caught up to them and signaled for them to stop. Stormbreaker got off of her bike then crossed her hooves over her chest as she stared the three down. "There's one thing I'd like to add," Stormbreaker said. The three waited to see what she had to say.
