The Basic Game Objective:

The bat pony kingdom of Night Fall is the first line of defense against the evil forces of Tartarus. When a dark entity escapes from the underworld, the bat ponies are called to deal with it and have special training to keep the creatures contained. The RPG revolves around this concept as well as the daily lives of the residents of the bat pony kingdom.

Location:

The game mostly takes place in the bat pony kingdom of Night Fall, but may go to other locations across Equestria as the game progresses.

Deities:

The bat ponies of Night Fall worship Princess Luna as a living diety.

Rulers:

Night Fall is ruled over by the bat pony crown princess, Princess Crescent and her Alicorn husband from the Kingdom of Darkness, Prince Jirard.

Night Fall Royal Guard:

This is the standing army that protects Night Fall kingdom from harm. It is led by the kingdom's Prince, Prince Jirard, and the Captain of the Night Fall Royal Guard, Captain Jet Black.

The Night Fall Royal Guard Ranks:

Captain: Manages all of the Royal Guard members, and leads the Royal Guard into battle. Is a personal Body Guard for the royal family. The captain wears whatever he pleases, and carries whatever he pleases. Because of how skilled a Captain is.

Sergeant: Leader of five troops, who work together as an army. Uniforms consist of charcoal armor, a black tunic, and a dark blue gemstone on their helmets. They carry whatever they please, but they are prepared to use their weapon to vanquish any being; From a mouse to a giant dragon.

Troop Leader: Leader of a troop, which contains three hundred soldiers. Uniforms consist of silver and black armor, a dark grey tunic, as well as blue green gems on their helmets. Troop Leaders carry rifles, as well as swords they were taught to use.

Dark Knight Troop: The Troop of Sergeants who command the Troop Leaders.

Knight: A higher ranking soldier who presides over Esquires and Men. Uniform consists of silver chain mail armor, and a golden tunic. Knights carry only the sword they were taught to use.

Esquire: A soldier who goes to a sword school or has gone to one, he is the same rank and uniform as a Man but he is more skilled with his sword than men. Esquires can carry the sword they are learning to use.

Man: An enlisted Soldier (stallion or mare). Uniform consists of a thick leather shirt and pants, as well as a white tunic. Men carry rapiers and muskets.

This is the game prompt that people can respond to.

It is the Lunar Festival in the Bat Pony kingdom of Night Fall. This festival is held every year to celebrate the summer solstice and also to honor the Bat pony's living deity, Princess Luna. Today,every pony is having a great time at the festival. But something seems off. Princess Crescent and Prince Jirard, the rulers of Night Fall have sent your party to investigate a case of a creature who has recently escaped from Tartarus. You are keeping an eye out for the creature while at the same time enjoying the festivities with your friends. It has been a while since you have joined in on the festivities. You and your friends have started to notice a dark cloud appear in one portion of the festival area. You and your friends decide to venture there to figure out if it has a connection with the creature of Tartarus you've been sent to apprehend.

Stormbreaker was not happy. Which, when one thought about it wasn't too surprising. Stormbreaker was never happy but especially so today because of the Lunar Festival that was going on right now. She had tried to cancel this year's festival at least until such time as this whole business with Tartarus was resolved. But unfortunately, Princess Crescent wouldn't entertain the thought of canceling the festival. Even though Stormbreaker insisted it was for the safety of the citizens she was ignored and instead was ordered to take a break from her usual duties of being the Chief Warden of Hope's End Maximum Security Prison and instead provide additional security for the festival. Even though Stormbreaker knew her Vice Wardens were perfectly capable of handling and managing the prison without her, she still preferred to be there in person as often as possible doing things herself.

"One of these days I'm gonna cut some very important people into some very small pieces." Stormbreaker muttered darkly as she finished her rounds and began heading back to the castle to give her report to Princess Crescent.

Talitha Feather Claw, a parrot griffon who seemed a bit out of place among the other residents of the kingdom, looked up towards the cloudy area of the festival and sighed. It looked like she would have to put the fun and games she was having at the festival on hold for now. She had been made an honorary member of the Night Fall Royal Court, not too long ago. Her title was the Court Historian. But she also doubled as an elite squad leader in the Tartarus Creature Containment Unit as sort of specialist when it came to the creatures of Tartarus being that she was a historian, folklorist, and storyteller.

She finished up eating a griffon scone she had purchased at a food booth run by a set of flamingo griffon twins, and headed off to report her findings to Princess Crescent. On her way to the castle, she met up with Stormbreaker. She gave a polite bow, and the two made their way into the main throne room to report the new discovery to Princess Crescent.

Soon Stormbreaker and her comrade Talitha arrived at the double-door entrance of the throne room which as usual was always crowded but that didn't stop Stormbreaker from making her presence known by pushing/shoving those who were ahead her out of the way and kicking open the throne room doors.

"Ah Stormbreaker." said Princess Crescent serenely "How goes the--"

"Can it! Y' wanted regular reports, y'got 'em. But spare me your pitiful attempts at schmoozin'!" Stormbreaker growled.

Princess Crescent who always found Stormbreaker's attitude amusing merely nodded. "Very well then, continue."

"So far nothing out of the ordinary that isn't usual for our kingdom has happened yet. But that will change soon enough, I guarantee it. I still say you should've cancelled the festival and resumed it after our little problem has been resolved."

Princess Crescent sighed and looked wistfully outside a nearby window.

"Yes, I could have cancelled it. But that would just mean that Tartarus would win. They would be choosing what we can and can't do. I won't allow that to happen. That is why I asked you to aid me in this task."

Stormbreaker grunted in response and Talitha nodded.

"Now," continued Princess Crescent, "I imagine you have taken notice of that grey cloudy area over the festival? That must be why you came to talk to me."

Talitha nodded.

"Yes your Majesty. Based on my knowledge of cryptids, it is my opinion that it is a Flame Knoll."

"And what might that be, Lady Feather Claw?"

"It is a fire spirit that can take a smoke form. But they can lash out at any moment and cause damage if they aren't immediately contained."

"Then I will count on you two and the other members of the containment unit to capture it before things get out of hand."

Talitha and Stormbreaker both bowed and agreed to do just that before leaving the throne room and venturing towards the smoky area of the festival.

Tinted Night, usually referred to as T, was curious about the festival, as she had not been there before. What was confusing, though, is that, she was not sent to got to the festival, but to deal with a problem at Tartarus. At first glance, her thoughts were, I've been caught! But, upon arriving at the festival, nopony seemed to notice her. They were all just going about their day, or, rather, night, doing everything a pony should do during a festival. T was curious, because the festival had been held at night. Night was her time, her time to strike. But, on a mission, one that couldn't be ignored, she had to ignore all of the ponies, who were strangely a cross breed of a pony and bat, and deal with the problem first. Then, she could go after an unsuspecting victim and do what she had been doing for many years now.

"Maybe there'll be some weaklings stupid enough to carry a lot of bits around tonight," she mused to herself while flying over the festivities, being sure to examin all the ponies going about, seeking out who to assassinate after her duty's done.

Now that I've read the other posts...

Not noticing how low she was flying, due to her mind being caught up in figuring out different ways of attack, Tinted Night accidentally slammed into one of the poles holding up various banners dedicated to the festival. She recovered quickly, giving the pole a glare, "To Tartarus with you!" she said, rather loudly, gaining the attention of two creatures: a parrot and griffon cross-breed as well as a zebra who accompanied her.

"Dangit... One of my least favorite things... Being noticed.." T mumbled as she rubbed her head from the impact.

Page sighed as he stood around observing the festival

"I just had to be put on duty, today of all days. I may not be a bat pony, but that don't mean I don't like to party." He thought with a sigh

He looked around, a bored expression on his face to see a odd sight. A griffon and a somewhat familiar face, walking towards a Pegasus he had seen flying over the festival earlier

"Now that's odd?" He thought "
